with gqrx as my main demodulator, my load average hovers around 7.50
and im missing packets from the netsdr as a result.
with spectravue under Wine emulation i never had load averages that high, at least the system is usable.
dont know if the volk test helped.
ive spent a vast majority of my time lately on getting to know gqrx, and i have figured out how to import a frequency list into its bookmarks, complete with color highlighting.
more logs this weekend.

small hiatus for a few days, kali upgrade broke wine so spectravue wont work, using gqrx
trying to code up a remote control utility so i can finally have a scanner run on an SDR.
'expect' is stalling, 'nc' wont deal with carriage returns well.

6905 new guy "gabby" 5 may 0058utc
really leans the mic and goes on and on.
he is now Gabby. s6, minor fading. the other guy? who knows, i was stoked to nail a new contestant. gabby has a tell in his transmission. at the end before he unkeys the mic theres a mid-pitched warble in the audio before terminating.
other guy id'd as Humberto!!

6945 portuguese (brazilian) outbanders 042217 0050UTC
2 guys, yet unid'd.
adding them to the catalog.
guy 1, very brazilian, s8-ish, good punchy audio, call him Punchy Gracie.
guy 2, s3, flat audio. portuguese, not so much brazilian as Punchy is, lets call him Flat Pat.
they both key over each other, apparently not knowing radio etiquette. must be new, not much "roger" or "cambio" to signal the other with to say "go ahead, im done".
